Gas Service

Old Smokeys offers Gas Service on freestanding gas hearth appliances, gas logs, gas fireplaces and gas fireplace inserts. We also service gas hot water and furnace chimneys. Gas technology has become so complex that gas training has become routine at Old Smokeys. Our technicians are highly qualified and are NFI Certified for gas installation and hearth appliance service.

Gas hearth products require yearly maintenance just as a chimney or wood-burning system. Gas appliances become dirty with build up of carbon on the pilot assembly and orifice. In order for your hearth appliance to run efficiently and trouble free, yearly maintenance is recommended. We clean the pilot orifice, thermocouple or thermopile, the logs and glass if you have glass on your unit, and give it an overall check to make certain it is performing correctly.

The best time to service these appliances is before you need them. At Old Smokeys, we do this type of service for our regular customers in the spring and summer. This ensures when you are ready to fire up your unit on the first cold day, you are ready to go trouble free!
